Maritime Training Gold Coast — SeaSchool
Marine Solutions Australia partners with SeaSchool to provide nationally recognised maritime training and certifications for vessel operators and marine professionals.
Who delivers the maritime training, and is it nationally recognised?
Marine Solutions Australia partners with Sea School International Pty Ltd to deliver nationally recognised maritime training on the Gold Coast. Sea School International is the Registered Training Organisation that issues the qualifications; Marine Solutions provides the local training venue, marine-engineering expertise and on-water vessels at Gold Coast City Marina, Coomera. Together we offer commercial maritime certificates — Coxswain Grade 1 and 2, Master up to 24 metres, and Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 and 3 — alongside recreational boat and personal-watercraft licences and shipboard-safety courses that meet AMSA requirements. Courses run as fast-track intensives and on flexible schedules, with practical on-water training and Recognition of Prior Learning available for experienced operators. Whether you are starting a maritime career or upgrading an existing ticket, training is delivered under the nationally recognised MAR Training Package and certificates are recognised across Australia.
From recreational licences to commercial tickets
Commercial Certificates
Coxswain Grade 1 and 2, Master up to 24 metres and Marine Engine Driver qualifications for those building a career on the water. Fast-track intensive courses lead to nationally recognised certificates and are available at the Gold Coast and multiple locations across Australia. We help you map the right pathway — from your first commercial ticket through to the qualifications a skipper or marine engineer needs to work on survey vessels.
Recreational Licences
Boat and PWC (jet ski) licence courses running regularly through the week. Choose individual or group training, with practical on-water experience and same-day licensing available in many cases. Ideal for new boat owners and families on the Gold Coast who want to get on the water safely and legally, taught by instructors who work on these waterways every day.
Marine Engine Driver
MED Grade 2 and Grade 3 certifications for operating and maintaining vessel machinery and propulsion systems — essential qualifications for marine engineers working on commercial vessels. Taught with the hands-on engineering context that sets Marine Solutions apart, drawing on our own workshop and the systems we service every day, so the training reflects real onboard machinery rather than theory alone.
Shipboard Safety
Comprehensive safety training including fire fighting, survival at sea, first aid and emergency procedures, meeting AMSA requirements for commercial vessel operations and international voyaging. These short courses satisfy the safety components of commercial qualifications and are also valuable refreshers for working crew who need current certification to join a vessel or renew their tickets.
Workplace Training
Customised training solutions for marine businesses and their crews. We arrange on-site training, group bookings and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessments so experienced staff are credited for what they already know. A practical option for charter operators, marinas and commercial fleets that need to lift a whole team to a required standard efficiently and with minimal time off the water.
